EFZ Annual General Meeting 2022
Held on the 30th of March 2022 in Gweru with a number of 203 Delegates, The Annual General Meeting saw the smooth ratification of the new General Secretary. Pastor Trever Masuku is now the substantive General Secretary after Pastor Blessing Makwara’s term ended in December 31 of 2021.For the gap three months the organisation was in the capable hands of Pastor Clara Chiseko as the acting General Secretary.

Being the highest decision-making body, the AGM also saw the appointment of the new Vice President and National Treasurer. The assumption of the General Secretary post by Pastor Masuku and the resignation of Rev Mazonde as the treasurer left the VP and Treasurer posts vacant. Pastor JD Sibanda (who is the Provincial Chair for Matebeland North and therefore a member of the National Executive Committee, was endorsed by the AGM to take up the role of the Vice President. Apostle Tose Ndebele who is the Harare provincial Vice Chair was duly elected as the National Treasurer for the EFZ.
The 2019 AGM had recommended a review of the organisation’s constitution. Following the recommendation the NEC appointed a constitutional review committee in August 2021 to lead the process of consultations and collation of responses into proposed amendments. During the latest AGM the committee presented the proposed amendments to the members and they were accepted marking the fourth constitution amendment for the organisation, an assurance of change in an endeavour towards growth and progress as the organisation celebrates six Decades of existence.
