One of the project’s beneficiaries, a 72-year-old widow shared her experience on how the project has helped her and her household to become food secure.
“Before l was supported with inputs, l did not have any source of income to purchase inputs or to buy food for my family. We were trained on conservation farming and supported with inputs, this has helped us a lot because we were able to plant early in 2020 and this increased our yields, which we have not been able to do in the previous years,” she said.
